This Privacy Policy explains how OffBooks.ai (“OffBooks”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit offbooks.ai, join our waitlist, subscribe to our newsletter, or use our free tools (together, the “Site”). OffBooks.ai is operated by Lumenridge Studio.

We are a pre-launch product. Today the Site is primarily a marketing site, magazine, and set of free tools. When our application launches, this policy will be updated to cover the additional data the product processes.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, subscribe to the newsletter, request a demo, or contact us, we collect the details you provide — typically your email address, and any name or message you choose to include.

Information we collect automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic technical and usage information — such as your device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and approximate location derived from your IP address — through cookies and analytics.

Free tools. Our free tools are designed to run in your browser. Any figures you enter into a tool stay on your device unless the tool explicitly states otherwise; we do not collect the contents of your tool inputs.

Information from the product (after launch). When the OffBooks application launches, it will process the financial data you connect to it. Account connections are made through read-only integrations, and that processing will be described in an updated policy before the product is generally available.

How we use your information

• To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our free tools.
• To send you the newsletter and product updates you asked for, and to respond to your messages.
• To understand how the Site is used, measure the performance of our content, and improve it.
• To protect the Site, prevent abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, under the GDPR), we rely on your consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, and on our legitimate interests in running and improving the Site for everything else.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking non-essential cookies will not stop you from reading the Site or using the free tools.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site, and only as needed to provide their service — for example, our hosting provider, our analytics provider, our email/newsletter platform (Beehiiv), and our content management tooling. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above — for example, we keep your newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in that email, and you can exercise other rights by contacting us at privacy@offbooks.ai.

International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to it.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice.
